We grow our worms in a recirculation system designed by Shane Merryman of the Stowers Institute, and constructed by us (with tremendous remote support from Shane). Our first liver lasted a full year. Our second liver came from Autumn's Harvest Farm via The Piggery, our local butcher shop. It was only 12 pounds but we extracted every last bit of it.
Divya created this one-of-a-kind masterpiece for my birthday. Like a pro, I amputated its pharynx and the rest of its body.

Melisa found a butcher in Rochester that had some beautiful livers. Divya used some of her veterinary expertise to swiftly process the liver. And we even got some help from the Hollopeter lab!
